Alberto Bassi is a professor at the Iuav University of Venice, specializing in the history and criticism of design. He coordinates the interior design curriculum of the industrial and multimedia design degree course and is a member of the scientific committee of the Iuav Project Archive. He collaborates with industry magazines such as "Casabella," "Abitare," and "Auto & Design," as well as newspapers. He has written numerous books, including "Italian Light" (Electa, 2004), "Anonymous Design in Italy: Common Objects and Hidden Projects" (Electa, 2007), "Food Design in Italy: The Project of Food Products" (Electa, 2015), which was awarded the ADI Compasso d'Oro in 2018, and "Contemporary Design: Instructions for Use" (Il Mulino, 2017).
