Carlo Salvato is a full professor of management at Bocconi University in Milan, where he teaches the Family Business Strategies course. He is a Fellow of the Family Firm Institute (FFI), which conferred him the Barbara Hollander Award. For the FFI he is also the Vice Chair of the board of directors, a member of the Executive Committee, and the Dean of the GEN Global Education Network targeting family business advisors. Over 25 years of research, he published several papers on family firms in international academic journals and he was an associate editor of the Family Business Review for seven years. He is an advisor of multiple Italian family firms. His expertise revolves around succession and NextGen development, family and corporate governance, and corporate strategy.
