The didactic model proposed in the courses of Milano Fashion Institute is innovative: not only in-class lectures, but also case studies and best practices, project works and laboratory activities.
Teaching model
The teaching model is composed as follows:
- In classroom lectures
- Case studies
- Company visits
- Project works
- Sessions of Career orientation and/or reviews on business ideas
Traditional in classroom lectures are alternated with case discussions, meetings with managers and other representatives of the business community, company visits, in class activities and project works.
Career orientation will be provided to the students that aim at working in the industry; feedbacks to the business ideas will be shared with participants that are willing to become entrepreneurs.
At the end of the course a MFI certificate is delivered to each student.
Courses
Sustainable Supply Chain, Process, Production and Distribution
The module that will have the objective of recovering a photograph of the most up-to-date production possible on the textile value chain and of how sustainability will introduce, modify, implement and innovate production processes.
Responsible fashion and communication
Sustainability is also storytelling and value creation through communication. From social communication to the value it has today internally within the company as well as externally for the consumer public and all stakeholders.
Clothing system life cycle design
The theoretical-practical activity that aims to help understand the design of a Product-Service System for the minimization of environmental impacts. The journey towards sustainability starts here.
Eco-Design: Fibers & Materials
Module entirely dedicated to materials, new materials and finishes that makes a sustainable product, with a lower environmental impact and avant-garde design.
Designing Sustainability
Idea generation workshop and aims to show how Design can intervene in the design of a fashion product.
