Alessandra Guffanti is an entrepreneur in textile and fashion with a strategic vision towards innovation and sustainability in lifestyle industries. Born in Milano , after the German School and the bachelor in International Law, she has followed the family business in Fashion. Guffanti Showroom, since 1989 , is the exclusive distributor B2B of more than 100 premium fashion brands from all over the world in women, children, man collections and wedding dresses.Today 6 showrooms in Italy sell to Italian, European, Russian, Arabic, Asian luxury multibrand stores. Starting from her commercial skills , she has directly worked on projects in Italy, Russia, Ukraine, Korea, China, Japan, Taiwan and Dubai and scouted all over the world, developing dedicated brands distribution strategies.
From 2013-18 Alessandra Guffanti has been the first woman national President of the Italian textile association Sistema Moda Italia junior (actual Confindustria Moda) and in 2019 of Confindustria Assolombarda. From 2023 she is President of the KID’s Fashion Committee in Confindustria Moda. Since 2018 she has been Consultant in Camera Nazionale della Moda Italiana and in the technical Committee of Pitti Bimbo. Crossindustry thinking and being a facilitator are part of her mindset.
From 2018-2025 she has been the ambassador of the Fashiontech Program of Startupbootcamp in Italy ( renamed Styleit) founded by Nazzareno Mengoni . The Partners have been are Valentino, Prada, Stone Island, Moschino, Armani, Brunello Cucinelli, Gucci and the most relevant Italian fabric producer. The purpose is to select each year among a thousand of worldwide startups only 10 to accelerate in sustainability, omnichannel and supply chain for fashion. It is the first incubator involving the producers and the brands in order to invest in industrial or digital startups which are gamechanger in lifestyle industries. Startupbootcamp Italy has also launched an incubator in Sport&Wellnesstech and another Fintech.
Sustainability has been a challenge for her since the last 10 years , trying to evaluate concrete solutions between existing producers, brands, shops and innovative startups. Since 2017 the UE wants Fashion to move from a linear to a circular economy and therefore she invests in innovation in recycling and upcycling like the platform www.musthad.com
