EXPLORE OUR MASTERS 2027
ADMISSIONS PROCESS
The selection process for the Masters is open:
- for EU students from March 1st, 2026 to December 15th, 2026;
- for non-EU students, from March 1st 2026 to October 15th, 2026.
The selection process consists of two phases: an initial pre-selection phase followed by a second phase, which involves an interview with the Applicant.
1. Pre-selection phase After the submission of the Application Form, Milano Fashion Institute ("MFI") carries out a pre-selection based on the submitted documents, as well as on the fulfilment of the admission requirements and the selection criteria, all of which are detailed in the relevant section of this document. Following this initial assessment, MFI will inform the Applicant at the email address specified in the Application Form whether the application has been successful or not.
2. Second phase If eligible, Applicants are required to attend an online interview with the Academic Committee, after which the final result (admitted or not admitted) will be communicated to the same email address used to notify the outcome of the pre-selection phase.
The process requires between 2 and 4 weeks. Candidates are therefore encouraged to submit their applications as early as possible.
Starting date of lectures: January 11, 2027

Selection results
At the end of the selection process, applicants will receive written confirmation of the outcome of their admission request. The result will be either admitted or not admitted.
The selection takes into account not only the individual profile of the candidate, but also the overall composition of the class, in order to ensure a diversity of educational backgrounds within the Master. If a candidate is deemed eligible for admission but all available places have already been confirmed, Milano Fashion Institute reserves the right to place such candidates on the waiting list for the next edition. Selection interview results are normally communicated within 3 working days of the interview with the Academic Committee.
ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS
To apply for admission to the Milano Fashion Institute Master programmes, applicants must meet two types of requirements: study requirements and language requirements.
- Study requirements: a BA, MSc, or equivalent three-year degree is sufficient.
- Language requirements: at least an upper-intermediate level of English is mandatory.
Work experience is not required.
The Master programmes are open to all graduates holding a BA, MSc, or equivalent degree. A background in fashion is not necessary; graduates in economics and management, fashion design, communication sciences, or related fields are all welcome to apply.
